Literary Translator &
Originally from the U.S., Leah Janeczko has lived in Italy since 1991 and for over 25 years has worked as an Italian-to-English translator of fiction for readers of all ages.
Her recent translations have been praised by The Times, author Phillip Pullman, BBC 4 Radio, the Italian Prose in Translation Awards, The Guardian, BookTrust president Michael Morpurgo and others, with Roberto Piumini’s Glowrushes featured in The New York Times as one of the best children’s books of 2023 and Veronica Raimo’s Lost on Me chosen by the Financial Times as one of 2023’s ten best books of fiction in translation.
Leah also offers creative services to authors and companies, and writes lyrics for Italian indie rock bands, including eight songs for The Elephant Man’s debut album, Sinners, produced by Steve Lyon.
